Your new company Our client is a highly-respected claimant law firm who are looking to strengthen their Manchester Clinical Negligence team. They are currently recruiting for a senior lawyer with a minimum of 4+ PQE to join on a hybrid basis. Your new role This Senior Clinical Negligence Lawyer role will see you:
Manage high-quality clinical negligence cases from initial interview to settlement. Handle a wide range of multi-track cases, including, misdiagnoses, complex brain injury, spinal injury, and birth injury cases. Gathering and reviewing evidence. Instructing and liaising with counsel. Actively participating in conferences with counsel and expert witnesses. Handling JSMs/ADR and progressing cases through to trial (including split trials where required). Preparing profit cost forecasts and working closely with the in-house costs team to ensure accurate recovery.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with a minimum of 4+ years post-qualified clinical negligence experience. Previous experience handling a high-value caseload of claimant clinical negligence claims. Excellent communication and client care skills. Ability to lead on strategy for complex litigation and advise junior team members. Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills, including experience with JSMs and ADR. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
