Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a Supply Chemistry Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible ongoing basis across a variety of secondary schools throughout Doncaster.
This Supply Chemistry Teacher role is ideal for teachers wanting to continue teaching their specialist subject whilst enjoying the flexibility of supply. Where specific Chemistry teaching is not available, candidates may also be offered general secondary cover opportunities across Doncaster.
Position: Supply Chemistry Teacher Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply Pay: £140 - £195 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay) Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As a Supply Chemistry Teacher, you will teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils to develop their scientific knowledge and understanding.
The Supply Chemistry Teacher position offers flexibility across a range of Doncaster secondary schools. You may also have the opportunity to undertake general science or wider secondary cover depending on your experience and the requirements of individual schools.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across KS3 and KS4 Support pupils' scientific understanding and progress Adapt lessons to meet different learning needs Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines Follow school curriculum and safeguarding expectations Provide general secondary cover where appropriate Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) Chemistry teaching experience or relevant secondary Science teaching experience Strong classroom management skills Good communication and adaptability Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
