Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry Grade: Consultant Location: London, Greater London Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon application
We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join a respected private client in London, Greater London. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric care across CMHT and inpatient settings
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a range of conditions including acute mental health issues, depressive illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and dual diagnosis
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service development
- Provide clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff
- Ensure full compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and other relevant legislation
Qualifications & Experience
- Full GMC registration
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register (CCT)
- Extensive experience in Adult Psychiatry, including acute and complex mental health presentations
