Are you an experienced tax professional looking to move away from routine compliance and develop your career in tax advisory?
A growing accountancy practice in Liverpool is looking for a Tax Senior or Tax Assistant Manager to join its specialist advisory team.
This is a 100% advisory role with no routine compliance work . You'll manage varied projects for owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals, work directly with clients and gain regular exposure to senior decision-makers.
The position can be tailored around your current experience and future ambitions.

The role
Delivering tax advisory projects from initial research through to completion
Advising owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals
Working on company reorganisations, share schemes and holding-company structures
Providing advice on inheritance tax, succession planning, capital gains tax and transactions
Researching UK tax legislation, HMRC guidance and relevant case law
Identifying tax risks and planning opportunities
Preparing clear reports and supporting documentation
Liaising with clients, solicitors and other professional advisers
Managing assignments, deadlines and budgets
What we're looking for
ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified, or currently working towards a relevant qualification
Previous tax advisory experience or a strong corporate tax compliance background
Knowledge of one or more areas such as corporate restructuring, share schemes, IHT, CGT, estate planning, property tax, residence or domicile
Strong technical research and report-writing skills
Confident client communication
The ability to manage projects with limited supervision
