The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Finance Manager to join a growing North East-based services business operating across multiple entities. Following a recent restructure, this newly created role offers significant responsibility, visibility and autonomy, combining operational finance leadership, statutory compliance and systems improvement within a business investing in future growth and efficiency. Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the transactional finance team Oversee sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll activities Ensure timely completion of VAT, CIS and other statutory obligations Support and co-ordinate external audits across multiple entities Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and controls Act as finance lead for ERP and systems-related initiatives Support automation and technology-led efficiency improvements Assist with financial due diligence and acquisition integration activity Partner with operational stakeholders across the wider business
You Will Be/Have:
Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant Strong technical accounting and compliance knowledge Previous experience managing or mentoring finance staff Exposure to audit, VAT and statutory reporting requirements Systems-savvy with a process improvement mindset Commercially aware and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment A hands-on, collaborative and pragmatic approach Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
