We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join an Adolescent Inpatient Eating Disorders Service within a leading private hospital group in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly specialised service, supporting young people with complex eating disorder presentations as part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team. The role is 3 days per week (22.5 hours), offering flexibility alongside excellent professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
Lead ward rounds, MDT meetings, and clinical reviews.
Provide oversight of complex case management, including higher-risk patients.
Support patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.
Supervise and mentor junior doctors and healthcare professionals.
Drive service development and ensure regulatory compliance.
Participate in the on-call rota (details to be discussed at interview).
Requirements
GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register.
Experience in adolescent psychiatry and/or eating disorders.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
A commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.
