Construction Assurance Manager - Heavy Civils
Coleshill, Birmingham
£56,000 - £66,000 DOE + 12% Pension + Private Healthcare + Benefits
Full-time / Permanent
Are you an experienced Construction Manager, Site Agent, Works Manager or NEC Supervisor from a heavy civils background, looking to move into a client-side position on a major UK infrastructure programme?
This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of reinforced-concrete structures, bridges, viaducts, highways and significant earthworks across one of the country's largest civil engineering projects.
Rather than directly managing the contractor workforce, you will act as the client's representative on site, providing independent assurance that construction is being delivered safely, to the approved designs and required quality standards.
You will inspect works, review supporting documentation, maintain accurate site records and raise any safety, quality, productivity or programme concerns with the wider project team.
The organisation offers long-term career security, exposure to technically complex infrastructure and clear opportunities to progress into Senior Construction Management and future project packages.
The Role:
- Provide independent client-side assurance across major heavy-civils works
- Inspect construction against approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and WIRs
- Support NEC Supervisors with WIRs and site inspections while monitoring productivity and planned progress against actual delivery
- Review RAMS, Work Package Plans and construction records
- Monitor safety, quality, productivity and progress, escalating emerging risks
The Person:
- Construction Manager, Site Agent, Works Manager, General Foreman, Section Engineer or NEC Supervisor
- Strong experience across reinforced concrete, bridges, viaducts, highways or earthworks
- Able to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation
- SMSTS, valid CSCS card and able to commute daily to Coleshill
