Role details
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a fast-growing and ambitious organisation that is going through an exciting period of continued growth and development. You'll take ownership of the management accounts process while working closely with stakeholders across the wider business to provide meaningful financial insight and support key commercial decisions. You'll be responsible for month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, while also identifying trends, risks and opportunities to improve business performance. This is a high-visibility role within a growing finance function, offering the opportunity to broaden your commercial exposure, take on additional responsibility and play an important role in the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and insightful monthly management accounts. Take ownership of month-end reporting and ensure deadlines are consistently met. Analyse P&L and balance sheet performance, providing clear commentary on key variances. Support the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes. Produce regular financial and KPI reporting for key stakeholders. Provide financial analysis and insight to support operational and commercial decision-making. Partner with non-finance stakeholders to improve financial understanding and accountability. Identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve business performance and profitability. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial information is accurate and robust. Support cash flow forecasting and wider financial planning activities. Contribute to finance projects and the continuous improvement of processes and systems. Take ownership of additional projects and responsibilities as the business continues to grow.
What the successful candidate will bring
Fully qualified accountant. Strong understanding of management accounts, P&L and balance sheet reporting. Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight. Advanced Excel skills.
