Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry Grade: Consultant Location: Stockport, Cheshire Working Hours: 40 hours per week Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon application
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Stockport, Cheshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert psychiatric care within an inpatient setting for adult patients
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service development
- Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff
- Ensure full compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and other relevant legislation
Qualifications & Experience
- Full GMC registration
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician (AC) status
- Extensive experience in Adult Psychiatry, particularly in inpatient environments
- Proven experience in a consultant-level role
