About this Role
This Site Engineer position offers an outstanding opportunity to join an established civil engineering contractor working on water treatment and infrastructure projects in Staffordshire. You will establish site survey controls, handle daily setting out, and manage technical quality assurance.
Establish primary level and survey control networks across site projects, performing regular verification checks.
Execute detailed setting out for civil works in full compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
Produce material procurement schedules, Task Briefings, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and 2-week look-ahead plans.
Maintain precise site records, including daily site diaries, allocation sheets, and accurate as-built data.
About You
You are a proactive, results-oriented Site Engineer with solid experience in setting out civil engineering works. You possess strong technical capabilities with modern surveying instruments alongside good problem-solving skills for complex site challenges.
Hold a recognized Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent professional qualification).
Demonstrate 3+ years of setting out experience on active civil engineering schemes using robotic total stations or EDMs.
Possess a sound understanding of construction methods, health and safety standards, and QA management procedures.
Hold an active CSCS card, with proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and cable avoidance techniques being advantageous.
