We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and caring Senior Support Worker to join our committed team in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees. Our service supports people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to achieve greater independence and lead fulfilling lives.
Senior Support Worker Duties:
Supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staff Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users Supporting the team leader to manage multi-agency working to ensure consistency and a coordinated service support is provided to all Enabling service users to gain independence, confidence and competence in areas, such as social skills/relationships, personal care & hygiene, daily living, and other domestic tasks Supporting service users with the activities they enjoy in and around the Norton area
This position will enable you become involved in the delivery of a high-quality service; giving real job satisfaction while utilising your experience in a senior position. You will have excellent line management support and development from the Non-Registered Service Manager. This is a great opportunity for a person seeking to develop their career in leadership and management.
A minimum of 2 years’ UK experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs is essential. You will be a highly motivated individual who can manage their own time and manage tasks within the team to ensure effective delivery of high-quality support. You must be able to demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a drive to make a positive difference to the lives of others.
Please note, this is not a permanent position; it is an acting role, which will be in effect for a total of 6 months.
